This is a typical Christmas sponge cake from Portugal. It has a very nice color from egg yolks. Very light, very spongy, very tasty — I think it goes perfect with any kind of topping: chocolate, vanilla cream, anything you put on top of this is always a perfect combination. A sponge cake like you would use for a homemade cake, but this one is a Christmas edition and typical for Portugal.
